Athens, OH, March 25, 2009 – DocuTAP has been named a finalist for the 2009 Outstanding Incubator Graduate award in the technology category by the National Business Incubation Association. The winner of the prestigious award will be announced April 21 at NBIA’s 23rd International Conference on Business Incubation in Kansas City, Mo.

A graduate of the South Dakota Technology Business Center of Sioux Falls, S.D., DocuTAP offers a proprietary electronic workflow solution to healthcare clinics, with an emphasis on urgent care clinics. The DocuTAP system is designed to improve the quality of patient care, ease the workload on care providers and increase the clinic’s profitability. 

Eric McDonald formed DocuTAP in 2000 and moved his one-man operation into the South Dakota Technology Business Center in 2004. The company graduated from the incubation program in 2007, after having grown to 20 employees. Since graduating from the South Dakota Technology Business Center, DocuTAP has built a team of 27 employees.
